EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Human personality is complex and diverse. It is only when the child is given freedom to explore the full range of its interests and capabilities that it can grow into a healthy and balanced individual. Our school gives the students the opportunities to discover themselves through their friendly and well guided interactions in different spheres of human endeavour. The following are some of the facilities we have.

Music & Dance

We have a specially designated Music and Dance Studio with all facilities for learning the performing arts. The school regularly conducts classes for the learning of various musical instruments from teachers who are proficient in them. The school offers exposure to Carnatic, Hindustani and Western stream of music.

Theatre

We expose students to theatre at a young age by enacting plays and skits and also giving students an introduction to the stage. The regular practice and the joy of achievement in putting up a successful performance on stage boost the confidence of the students. We also have a Puppet Theatre Room where students are exposure to puppetry.

Arts & Crafts

We have full time drawing and crafts instructors who teach children the intricacies of art. Their creative potential is allowed to bloom by engaging in artistic assignments and participating in arts and crafts competitions.

National Cadet Corps

NCC instils discipline and the ideals of patriotism and service to the nation. Our school has full-fledged NCC units, Army, Navy and Air Wing. Interested students can join the NCC unit of their choice and imbibe the values and ethos of the defence community.

Scouts & Guides

The school has a full-fledged Scouts & Guides unit where the children are taught survival skills, camping and outdoor living, adventure, love of nature etc. Scouts & Guides is an international movement founded by Baden Powel to encourage young boys and girls to reach their full potential.

Culinary Classes

Cooking is one of the most creative talent based arts. It is also an avenue for tremendously satisfying profession in hospitality industry. In order to introduce children to the joys of cookery at a young age, we hold regular classes in cooking where the children are given exposure to its basic tenets, thereby developing their interest in the field.

Yoga

Yoga classes are conducted on a regular basis to make students health conscious and also to make them develop healthy lifestyle which will stay with them for a lifetime.

Linguistics

Language is chief medium of human communication. Excellence in one’s linguistic abilities is of great advantage in communication. To help students to acquire this, we conduct regular Phonetic Classes and English Communication Class whereby they can get professionally trained to better express themselves.

Gardening & Horticulture

Gardening is a highly engaging hobby. We encourage our students to take up gardening and horticulture in our school campus. They are provided with training in the basics of gardening, use of tools and techniques etc. The vegetables and fruits produced in the school garden are used in the school kitchen.

Astronomy Studio

Our Astronomy Studio introduces our students to the wonders of space and arouses their curiosity in celestial objects. The students are trained in sky watching, identifying stars and constellations and observing cosmic phenomena like solar and lunar eclipse, transit of comets etc.

Tata Class Edge Smart Class

AVS Global School has an exclusive arrangement with Tata Interactive Systems to provide e-learning to our students using Tata Class Edge Smart Class platform. Tata Class Edge offers affordable virtual classroom and interactive whiteboard for schools in India with the aim of innovatively using technology to improve learning outcomes for children through interactive learning

Integrated Foundational Courses and STEM Company

AVS Global School is empowered with Integrated Foundational Courses and STEM company to familiarise students with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) at an early age and prepare them for a future in STEM based streams.

Robotics is the future of technology. With man learning to make machines which are more and more intelligent, life has become easy for all.
